Greg Boothe |
Biography | Noble Warriors | New World To Come

Greg was born in Rupert Idaho, and started singing when he was three years old. He took piano lessons for eight years and bass fiddle lessons for six years. His family would perform together at all kinds of activities. He played the bass fiddle through High School and then in College at Weber State. Greg started playing the guitar at age 14. His favorite musicians were the Beatles, James Taylor, and the Eagles.
At the young age of sixteen, Greg, started writing songs. Usually they would be for friends who were breaking up, people who needed something funny, or love songs for friends and family. While he was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Australia, he wrote songs for all his buddies who got Dear Johns. And, whenever something special happened in someone's life, Greg would write a song about it.
Greg's first success in writing came in 1982 when he won the "Salt Lake City Song Contest". That was a great experience. 200 contestants had submitted songs and Greg won 1st place! It was an honor to have his song recorded professionally. However, the song never became the official Salt Lake Song because several local DJ's panned it as being too religious.
Throughout the years Greg has played music in many bands and trio's. His first CD "A New World To Come" was released in 1997 and contained many songs of experiences from his childhood and memorable songs about his life. His second release "Noble Warriors" came out December of 2004 and has more of an LDS theme. It is geared to all ages, but especially the Youth.
Greg has a lovely wife named Fara and three children, JanaLee, Eric and Jennifer. Currently they live in Ephraim, Utah where Greg teaches Religion at the LDS institute and also directs the choir.
